The Heritage and History of the Keller Reformed Church of Canoe Valley
Starting in the 1700’s, pioneers forged their way into central Pennsylvania and settled near Water Street, bringing their faith with them. This book traces the history of the first German Reformed presence near Water Street through its spread to Canoe Valley where it was established as the “Keller Church” in 1846. Built upon the ruins of Fort Lowry from the Revolutionary War, the old church has been closed since 1926 but the tales of its founding, its people, and its heritage of faith are still being preserved today. Based on new research from unpublished personal papers and never-before-seen records from the Keller Church, this book presents an in-depth account of the members, pastors and their faith.
